The resort is located near La Santa village on the north-western coast of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. It is an English speaking resort with the majority of guests from Denmark, United Kingdom and Germany.

What you will do

Working as a bike mechanic at Club La Santa, you will be responsible for the daily maintains of our bikes, as well as deliver the very best experience to Club La Santa guests.

You will refer directly to the In-Charge of mechanics (in Lanzarote) and you will be working alongside with our bike guide & customer service team located in the Bike Centre.

Furthermore you will be a part of the Green Team consisting of around 60 sports instructors and with more than 450 colleagues across 3 countries, you will be part of a big hotel operation.

Responsibilities

Carrying out scheduled maintenance of the rental fleet (Up to 750 bikes, consisting of carbon and alloy road bikes, Mountain bikes, City bikes, 2 tandems and a variety of Kids bikes).
Assisting with the rental bike setup for the customers.
Working with software like: Bike Rental Manager, Lightspeed Till system, Teams, Outlook and other.
Servicing and repairing customer bikes (TT, Triathlon, Road and MTB).
Pack down/Build up for/after travel.
Working together with the Customer Service team to keep the bike center organized and tidy.
Qualifications

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a bike mechanic.
Having a Cytech Level 2 qualification, a graduation certificate from Herningsholm College Denmark, CELF – Centre for vocational Education Lolland-Falster or equivalent experience is an advantage.
Work to uncompromising standards with the principle aim to always find solutions.
Self-motivated to work independently.
Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Problem-solving and organisational skills.
Fluent in English. Secondary Spanish and/or Danish.

Permanent full time contract with 40 hrs. working week and 2 days off.
One free lunch will be provided on all working days.
Holiday: 30 days a year + 18 extra days of holiday as compensation for work on public holidays including holiday pay.

Important information for when applying

We can only employ people with a passport from the EU community or with a Spanish residencia and work permit.
The position will require relocation to Lanzarote, if you are not already living here.

In the application a video will be required of you demonstrating your bike mechanic skills.
The minimum period of employment for this job is 9 months, starting with 45 days probationary period.
A clean criminal report and child protection certificate will be required from new staff upon arrival.
